The beloved story

Bourne's adaptation stays true to the essence of Tim Burton's original creation, combining the haunting music of Danny Elfman and Terry Davies with the wit and bittersweet charm of the story of an incomplete boy, Edward Scissorhands, thrust into an unfamiliar world.

Edward, a boy created by an eccentric inventor, lives in a castle high on a hill. When his creator dies, he is left alone and unfinished with only scissors for his hands until a kindly townswoman invites him to live with her suburban family. Can Edward find his place in the well-meaning community which struggles to see past his curious appearance to the innocence and gentleness within?

The show features set and costumes by Lez Brotherston, lighting design by Howard Harrison, and sound design by Paul Groothuis.

The show's casting has been unveiled, featuring a talented ensemble that includes Liam Mower and Stephen Murray as Edward Scissorhands, Katrina Lyndon and Ashley Shaw as Kim Boggs, Kerry Biggin, Etta Murfitt, and Mami Tomotani as Peg Boggs, and Glenn Graham and Dominic North as Bill Boggs. The cast includes Benjamin Barlow Bazeley, Ben Brown, Stephanie Billers, Nicole Kabera, Ashley Shaw, James Lovell, Luke Murphy, Reece Causton, and many more.

Edward Scissorhands has carved a place in the hearts of audiences worldwide since its premiere in 2005, with sell-out performances in America, Australia, Korea, Japan, and Europe.
