Noël Coward’s razor-sharp comedy Hay Fever returns to London’s West End in a strictly limited season directed by Emily Burns. Starring Emmy and Tony Award winner Christine Baranski in her long-awaited West End debut alongside Oscar nominee Richard E. Grant, this riotous production follows the hopelessly eccentric Bliss family as their bad manners and theatrical drama unleash chaotic comedy on their unsuspecting weekend guests.
Please note: Special filming will occur during select performances, with trailer filming taking place on 27 October, and full-performance filming taking place on 16 November and 19 November, during which latecomers will not be admitted under any circumstances.
Storyline
Judith Bliss, a retired actress craving applause, invites a young admirer to her country home for the weekend. Unbeknownst to her, each Bliss family member has also invited a guest, setting the stage for a weekend of social mayhem. As mismatched visitors collide with the family’s eccentricities, parlour games spiral into chaos. Will anyone survive the Bliss family’s hospitality with their dignity intact?
