Royal Shakespeare Company's My Neighbour Totoro is coming back to the Barbican for an extended run after having a tremendously hit run in 2022. My Neighbour Totoro London is all set to play at the Barbican from 21st November 2023 to 23rd March 2024.
The play is adapted from Hayao Miyazaki’s acclaimed animated feature film and it received nine Olivier Awards nominations in 2023 and won six of those Olivier Awards!
Tom Morton-Smith (Oppenheimer) is the playwright of My Neighbour Totoro, London and the show is directed by Phelim McDermott (Sir Peter Hall Award for Best Director). Tom Pye (Blue - I Theatre Technology Award for Best Set Design) provided production design, while Kimie Nakano (Best Costume Design) and Jessica Hung Han Yun are in charge of costume design and lighting design, respectively. Featuring puppetry from Basil Twist, music from Joe Hisaishi’s classic original musical score, and new orchestration by Will Stuart, you really cannot miss out on this show.
