Jeremy Herrin's West End revival of Long Day's Journey Into Night, starring Brian Cox, is set to hit Wyndham's Theatre next spring.

Long Day's Journey Into Night, the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning American drama by Eugene O'Neill, is slated to make its West End revival at the Wyndham’s Theatre this Spring 2024.

The cast and creatives

Under the direction of Jeremy Herrin, the cast for this production is led by the Olivier-winning Brian Cox in the role of James Tyrone, with Anthony Boyle (known for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) taking on the character of Edmund Tyrone, stepping in for the previously announced Alex Lawther who withdrew due to scheduling conflicts.

The ensemble further features the Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning Patricia Clarkson as Mary Tyrone, BAFTA Award nominee Daryl McCormack as James Jr, and Louisa Harland from Derry Girls as Cathleen.

The comprehensive creative team includes Lizzie Clachan as the designer, alongside Jack Knowles for lighting design, Tom Gibbons for sound design, Polly Bennett for movement direction, and Jessica Ronane CDG for casting. Justina Kehinde serves as the associate director.

Considered a masterpiece among American plays from the 20th century, this work delves into the lives of the Tyrones, a dysfunctional family intricately inspired by Eugene O’Neill’s personal experiences. Make use of the Wyndham's Theatre seating plan to book your seats and experience this must-see play.
