London premiere of Spirited Away gets extended in response to fan-demand

London, prepare for the European premiere of Studio Ghibli's iconic Spirited Away stage adaptation! The beloved animated film, which won an Oscar under the direction of Hayao Miyazaki, will open at the London Coliseum next year. But here is the best part: due to overwhelming demand and the immense anticipation surrounding the production, five additional weeks have been added to the original 12-week schedule!

Presented by TOHO Co Ltd and co-produced by PW Productions, Spirited Away will teleport audiences into the enchanting world of Chihiro, where spirits and magic reign supreme. The original Japanese cast will bring this production to life, making the European premiere extra special.

The original composer, Joe Hisaishi, scores the show. Brad Haak handles musical supervision, orchestrations, and arrangements, with Conor Keelan as associate music supervisor.

Set designer Jon Bausor, puppet designer Toby Olié, choreographer Shigehiro Ide, costume designer Sachiko Nakahara, lighting designer Jiro Katsushiba, sound designer Koichi Yamamoto, hair and makeup designer Hiroaki Miyauchi, and projection designer Satoshi Kuriyama collaborate to bring the fantastical world of Spirited Away to the London stage.
