The play is set to be headlined by none other than the legendary Sir Ian McKellen, who will be taking on the role of Falstaff.

Shakespeare's historical masterpiece traces the journey of Hal, the young prince and King-in-waiting, as he navigates a series of adventures with his older companion Falstaff, all while the looming threat of war casts its shadow.

The ensemble cast is a formidable array of talent, featuring Raphael Akuwudike, Sara Beharrell, Samuel Edward-Cook, Geoffrey Freshwater, James Garnon, Alice Hayes, Henry Jenkinson, Nigel Lister, Annette McLaughlin, Mark Monero, Hywel Morgan, Joseph Mydell, Clare Perkins, Daniel Rabin, David Semark, David Shelley, Robin Soans, Tafline Steen, and Perry Williams.

Player Kings is scheduled to run at the Noël Coward Theatrefrom 1 April to 22 June 2024, with previews at New Wimbledon Theatre from 1 March to 9 March 2024 and Manchester Opera House from 14 March to 23 March 2024.
