The production opened in Stockholm in 2016, with ABBA member Björn Ulvaeus serving as a writer alongside Calle Norlén and Roine Söderlundh. The Swedish production was a hit, eventually being adapted for The O2 stage by British-Danish writer Sandi Toksvig in 2019, where it has remained.
Storyline
Nikos and Kate run a cozy taverna on the Greek island of Skopelos with help from their family and friends. Never a dull night at the taverna, the duo must keep their operation running smoothly all while the mischievous chef Debbie and the star-crossed lovers Adam and Konstantina try to defy the fates and find their happy endings.

We sat at table 24 and the view was disappointing. We had tier B tickets but it really felt as tier C. Far back on the beach bar area, with a pillar blocking part of the stage area. Furthermore, it was just behind the path the waiters used to go to and from the kitchen which was happening frequently. Finally I would recommend that the actors did not speak quite loudly when in the bar area as it is quite disturbing when sitting at table 24. Great show but our seats were quite disappointing compared to what we paid for

Great performance by all. Felt I was on the scene from the moment of walking through the entrance blue doors. Food was outstanding, the flavours took me back to the Greek islands. Would love to experience the show all over again.
