The legendary Broadway musical Plaza Suite is ready to make its grand appearance in London's West End. Neil Simon's hilarious examination of love and marriage has already won over audiences on the Broadway stage. Now it's London's chance to enjoy the laughter and witty banter of three fascinatingly entwined couples, all within the walls of one famous hotel room—the Plaza Suite.

Tales of love

Long-married Karen and Sam are on the verge of a breakdown in their marriage. Former high school sweethearts Muriel and Jesse seem destined for an extended stay full of comedic twists. The bride's parents, Norma and Roy, struggle to get their daughter out of the bathroom long enough to celebrate her upcoming wedding. 

World-class performers take centre stage

The impressive cast adds to the excitement of this Plaza Suite West End production. After delivering an outstanding performance in The Starry Messenger in 2019, Matthew Broderick, known for his acclaimed roles on Broadway and in films, makes a triumphant return to the West End. In Plaza Suite, Sarah Jessica Parker, known for her iconic performance in Sex and the City, makes her long-awaited West End debut. These two real-life spouses' chemistry alone promises to be a show-stopper. 

A dream team

To bring Plaza Suite to life, a dream creative team has come together behind the scenes. John Lee Beatty, a two-time Tony Award winner for set design. Jane Greenwood, a five-time Tony Award winner for lighting design, and Scott Lehrer, a two-time Tony Award winner for sound design. Marc Shaiman, a two-time Tony Award winner for incidental music, and Jim Carnahan, a casting director, make up this ensemble.

For this West End production of Plaza Suite, Tony Award winner John Benjamin Hickey will be the director. Hickey, well-known for his outstanding performance in The Normal Heart, contributes his knowledge to guarantee that London spectators will be given a classic romantic comedy.

Plaza Suite broke box office records during its 19-week run at the Hudson Theatre in New York. It earned the third-highest revenue of any theatrical revival on Broadway and left audiences giggling and wanting more.
