The Sam Wanamaker Playhouse is a faithful replica of 17th-century candlelit theatres, located on the site of the Globe Theatre. Known for hosting performances during the colder months, it has been in operation since January 2014. It’s intimate venue, lit by over 100 beeswax candles, with a beautiful painted ceiling depicting the moon goddess Luna amongst clouds, offers a unique theatre experience.
