Opening in 1705 as Queen’s Theatre, His Majesty's Theatre was designed by John Vanbrugh. It was here that the performances of Mozart’s La clemenza di Tito, Così fan tutte and Don Giovanni unfolded for the first time in the early 19th century. Interestingly, the name of the theater changed along with the monarch. For instance, in 1714, it came to be known as the King’s Theatre when George I came into power. From the grand operas of the 18th century to today’s spectacular productions, this iconic venue has long been home to world-class entertainment. Its lavish Edwardian architecture and opulent interiors provide the perfect backdrop for the magic of live theatre. I genuinely can’t stay quiet about this production. The Phantom of the Opera is my favorite movie of all time, so I went in with very high expectations… and somehow they exceeded every single one of them. Everything was a 10/10. The cast was absolutely phenomenal, every performance was filled with emotion, power, and passion. The acting, the vocals, and the chemistry on stage were simply outstanding. The set design was breathtaking. Every scene felt magical, immersive, and beautifully crafted. The costumes were elegant, detailed, and perfectly captured the atmosphere of the story. Combined with the lighting and special effects, it created an unforgettable experience. And the music… wow. Hearing those iconic songs performed live gave me chills. They managed to capture every emotion, every feeling, and every magical moment that made me fall in love with the story in the first place. Anna was the perfect Christine. Her voice was stunning, her performance was heartfelt, and she embodied the character beautifully. She was absolutely incredible. This wasn’t just a musical it was an experience. They took everything I love about the story, the emotion, the music, and the characters, and brought it to life in the most spectacular way possible. Without a doubt, this is the best stage production I have ever seen. Bravo to every single person involved!
The production of Tge Phantom of the Opera at His Majesty's Theatre was absolutely spectacular from beginning to end. The performances were extraordinary, and I left the theatre deeply moved. Anna Zavelson’s portrayal of Christine was simply breathtaking. I can honestly say I have never been so profoundly moved by a voice. Her performance was filled with beauty, emotion, and grace, and she brought Christine to life in a way that I will never forget. Dean Chisnall’s Phantom was equally remarkable. He captured both the strength and vulnerability of the character with incredible depth, and his powerful voice was mesmerizing. Ashley Gilmour was a wonderful Raoul, bringing warmth, sincerity, and heart to the role. Together, the three leads created a performance that was emotionally compelling with rich chemistry and beautifully balanced. The orchestra was magnificent, and every member of the cast contributed to an unforgettable evening. The music, staging, costumes, lighting, and special effects all came together seamlessly, creating an experience that was both moving and magical. Thank you for creating an evening that touched my heart and reminded me of the extraordinary power of live theatre. I will treasure this for the rest of my life!
I’d been looking forward to seeing this opera for a long time, and I wasn’t disappointed! The sets are magnificent, and the costumes are superb and exceptionally well-crafted. The performers are excellent, talented, and deeply committed, which makes the entire production captivating from start to finish. The staging and production fully draw the audience in and create a unique atmosphere. It was an experience I’ll never forget. Although the limited view due to a pillar was mentioned at the time of booking, I didn’t think the obstruction would be that significant. Fortunately, by shifting to the left and moving forward slightly, it’s still possible to enjoy the show. The only downside, in my opinion: drinks on site are quite expensive, and it’s a shame that there’s no free drinking water available, aside from the bottled water sold on site.

No, but it’s incredibly close: Phantom is the second-longest-running musical in West End history (after Les Misérables) and remains in fifth place among all theatrical works.
A true award magnet, Phantom has earned 4 Olivier Awards (London) and 7 Tony Awards (including Best Musical), plus a Grammy, among over 70 major international accolades.
Over 13,000 performances of the show have been staged in London as of its 35th anniversary. Each show uses 230 costumes, 281 candles, 250 kg of dry ice, and a chandelier with 6,000 beads weighing nearly one ton.
Q- Why is the chandelier crash so iconic?
Modelled on a real 1896 accident, the replica chandelier is 3 meters wide, weighs one ton, includes 6,000 beads, and its dramatic fall marks the end of Act I, an unforgettable West End moment.
Indeed, a major 2004 movie directed by Joel Schumacher starred Emmy Rossum, Gerard Butler, and Patrick Wilson, bringing the stage epic to the cinema.
