Why Watch My Master Builder?
Ewan McGregor strides across the stage in a character that's as complex and passionate as any lightsaber battle he's ever encountered. Not just Obi-Wan Kenobi, enjoy MacGregor's theatrical chops as he returns to the stage after 17 years
The six-time Tony-winner Red and The Cripple of Inishmaan are only two examples of Michael Grandage's many laurels. Grandage has received Tony, Olivier, Evening Standard, Critics' Circle, and South Bank Awards for his work. McGregor calls this play by Lila Raicek “a very modern take on today’s sexual politics”
The partnership is back, as McGregor and Grandage collaborated in the 2005 musical Guys and Dolls and the 2007 production of Othello, both held at the Donmar Warehouse. Grandage says “ The production is also a joyful reunion with Ewan McGregor — an extraordinary stage actor, working together for the first time on a world premiere”
