The Moulin Rouge musical was fantastic! Hit after hit, amazing dancing and singing. Even though I haven't seen the movie or been to the real place, it felt like I was at a burlesque show. The energy was great and the performances were top-notch. A must-see!

Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre is an intoxicating fever dream drenched in velvet, glitter, and unapologetic sensuality. From the second you step into the auditorium, you’re swallowed by crimson light, gilded decadence, and a stage that throbs with decadent promise. The choreography is outrageously provocative — hips snap, bodies collide, and every movement feels like a wink and a dare. Satine blazes with dangerous allure, commanding the room in corsets so sharp they could cut glass and vocals that slice even deeper. Christian burns with reckless desire, their chemistry sparking like a live wire inches from your skin. The mash-ups of pop anthems are shamelessly seductive, turning familiar hits into pulsating declarations of lust and longing. Every costume shimmers with sinful extravagance — fishnets, feathers, leather, and diamonds flashing under molten scarlet light. The ensemble attacks the can-can numbers with feral precision, a riot of legs and laughter that feels deliciously wicked. It’s loud, it’s lush, it’s gloriously over-the-top — a champagne-soaked spectacle that refuses to behave. By the final bow, you’re breathless, flushed, and hopelessly addicted to its brazen, glittering excess.
The theatre itself feels alive, drawing you straight into the world of the Moulin Rouge before the show even begins. The moment that truly wowed me is how completely the production sweeps you away emotionally. No matter how many times I see it, the story still hits with the same intensity. I still cry every time the main character passes away—it’s heartbreaking, beautifully handled, and incredibly powerful. The combination of music, lighting, and raw emotion makes that moment unforgettable. As someone who loves romance, this show speaks directly to my heart. Watching it three times has never dulled its impact; if anything, it deepens my connection to the story. Each visit feels just as passionate and moving as the first, and it continues to fill that romantic longing in a way few shows can. I’m already looking forward to my fourth visit—and many future bookings to come. Moulin Rouge! isn’t just a show I’ve seen; it’s a show I return to, again and again, because it never stops making me feel.
Moulin Rouge! The Musical is a staggering technical achievement that transforms the theater into a shimmering, crimson-soaked dreamscape. This sensory blitz creates a cinematic atmosphere where the mechanical precision of the stagecraft meets the thundering, bass-heavy intensity of a high-end production. The show’s creative heart lies in its audacious "remix" architecture, seamlessly weaving decades of pop hits into a sophisticated narrative tapestry. This is best seen in the "Elephant Love Medley," a technical marvel that stitches fragments of over 20 songs into one fluid conversation. By layering these modern anthems, athletic choreography, the musical brilliantly bridges the gap between the 19th-century Belle Époque and 21st-century pop culture.
The cost of the tickets starts from £25 and will vary depending on the type of seats you choose.
