The Play That Goes Wrong: Longest running play at the Duchess Theatre

The Play That Goes Wrong proudly holds the title of being the longest-running production at the Duchess Theatre, a feat it has maintained since the venue's inauguration in 1929. Additionally, it is widely recognized as the West End's longest-running comedy.

The Directors of Mischief, Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer, expressed their profound appreciation for the enduring support, noting, "We're thrilled to mark nine years in the West End, with The Play That Goes Wrong continuing to bring laughter to audiences. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who have witnessed and championed the show. It's hard to believe we're nearly at the ten-year mark!"

This remarkable production has garnered numerous accolades, including the 2014 WhatsOnStage Award for Best New Comedy, the 2015 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, and a Tony Award for its successful transition to Broadway. Its journey began a decade ago with only four paying patrons at The Old Red Lion pub theatre in north London, and since then, it has delighted over two million spectators while being staged in more than 49 countries.
