Critics have called it “a funny and devious must-see” (The Guardian), making it a standout event for fans of smart, contemporary plays.
Two couples, four lives, and a web of secrets—The Truth dives into the tangled relationships and shifting loyalties that bind them. As trust becomes negotiable and everyone hides something, the play’s sharp dialogue and unexpected turns keep the audience guessing. The Truth is a witty, clever and entertaining play. It is delivered with impecable tming. It minimal set leaves the focus on the dialogue. Well acted and thoroughly enjoyable. The absence of an interval is welcome.
Beautiful theatre, easy access and good quality refreshments etc. The performance was wonderful, impressive work by all four cast members especially Steven Mangan who appeared in every scene.
Just what you want for a fun summer night at the theatre. A witty script, excellent cast and performances and a venue that's just the right size for this play. Highly enjoyable@
Whilst the cast was great but I found the play to be extremely short at less than 1 hour 30 minutes and the high price for the tickets. It's not worth the money !
Good show, clever dialogue , just a little too much bad language for us
