The Truth is a wickedly entertaining comedy from Oscar-winning writer Florian Zeller, now revived in London’s West End for a strictly limited season. This Olivier-nominated play peels back the lies and secrets between two couples, exploring the fragile nature of trust and loyalty. With a cast led by Tony Award-nominated Stephen Mangan, comedy legend Ardal O’Hanlon, Sarah Hadland, and double Olivier Award-winner Janie Dee, the show promises a night of gripping, laugh-out-loud theater. Critics have called it “a funny and devious must-see” (The Guardian), making it a standout event for fans of smart, contemporary plays.
Two couples, four lives, and a web of secrets—The Truth dives into the tangled relationships and shifting loyalties that bind them. As trust becomes negotiable and everyone hides something, the play’s sharp dialogue and unexpected turns keep the audience guessing. What happens when the lies we tell others—and ourselves—finally unravel? The answer is a revelation no one is ready to face.

Brilliant performances from the cast. Very funny in both gesture and word. It was the first play I had been to, and it has sparked an interest in looking out for more theatre
This was a last minute decision to see this play and it did not disappoint. Very clever and humorous. Great acting from all four involved. Worth seeing.
I enjoyed the show very much! It's light hearted, entertaining and the actors are perfect ! The clever thing is we still don't know what the truth is !
It was entertaining, funny. Decided to go to see it the day before. Well worth the money, great little theatre. It was well priced and worth it.
We felt the play was a little contrived and the acting (by the men) was not all that convincing... but the AC very welcome!
