The Moonwalkers: A Journey With Tom Hanks offers a cinematic, immersive retelling of humanity’s lunar voyages. Tom Hanks narrates this journey in his own voice, guiding you from the first footsteps on the Moon through the ambitions of the Artemis programme. Co-written with Christopher Riley (BAFTA-nominated for acclaimed space documentaries including In the Shadow of the Moon and Apollo: Missions to the Moon), the show draws on deep archival expertise and astronaut interviews. With direction by Nick Corrigan & Lysander Ashton, and soundscapes underscored by Anne Nikitin (known for Hijack and American Animals, with scores performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra), the result is an audio-visual voyage that envelops the audience.
This show takes you through the era of Apollo, the missions that placed humans on the Moon, and positions you to contemplate the future of lunar exploration via Artemis. Set across past and future timelines, the narrative weaves archival footage, astronaut interviews, and narration into a coherent voyage of discovery. In the final moments, you confront the question: what comes next for those walking on the Moon?

The collection of all the Information was great, and when I heard Tom Hanks telling about what he felt when Apollo 11 landed on the moon it was just like i recalled my own experience from 20th July 1969. And the photos and the filmcuts from the moon was so crystal clear! The only negative about the show was that the voices of the astronauts "drowned" in the very nice, but much too loud music. HH
Mesmerising and thought provoking
