Storyline

Marjorie Prime is set in the early days of artificial intelligence when people would act in extreme ways to deal with loss. In Marjorie Prime, people from a far-off future want to bring the dead back to life as copies of themselves that contain bits of information from the past. Marjorie Prime reflects on whether technology might ever replicate any aspect of the human spirit while delving into the depths and complexity of the human psyche. Marjorie is an 85-year-old lady with a tangle of fragmented, dying recollections who is offered comfort in the guise of a stunning new companion who is intended to provide her with the narrative of her life. What might we choose to remember or forget if given a chance? Book your Marjorie Prime play London tickets to see this riveting tale.

Menier Chocolate Factory

One of London's cherished fringe venues, Menier Chocolate Factory Theatre occupies a former nineteenth-century chocolate factory in Southwark. Since opening as a theatre and restaurant in 2004, it has earned a reputation for intimate, innovative productions. Its exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and unobstructed views create a warm, characterful setting where audiences feel close to the action. The venue has staged acclaimed productions including Little Shop of Horrors, Sunday in the Park with George, and The Color Purple, some of which later transferred to Broadway and the West End.
