Storyline

How Not To Drown begins in 2002, after the end of the Kosovan War. It is a painful narrative of one little boy's perseverance. Dritan is sent on an arduous journey across the Adriatic in the hopes of starting a new life in Europe with nothing but his wit as his possession. His only companions are a gang of people smugglers.

The journey is a long one, and it doesn't end with his arrival in the UK. The major challenge becomes maintaining his identity and feeling of self after being thrust into the British care system. About Theatre

Charles Dillon, the adoptive son of the actor-manager of the same name, hired architect James George Buckle to construct the theatre in 1884. It was built on Salway Road, on the site of a wheelwright's business, and is the sole piece of Buckle’s art that is still standing. The theatre opened on December 17th, 1884, with a revival of Richelieu by Edward Bulwer-Lytton. Popular shows hosted include Hansel and Gretel, Pied Piper, Oliver Twist, Pinocchio, Snow Queen, etc.
