Sections available in Lyceum theatre

Lyceum Theatre Stalls

Stalls

  • 945 capacity
  • Row A-Z

The Stalls section of the Lyceum Theatre seating plan is the largest and includes accessible seating. The best seats in the theatre are located in Rows E to Q at the centre of the Stalls. These seats offer perfect views at a suitable distance and are considered premium seats. Given that the show is set in the jungles of Savannah, the entire stage is made use of, and you'll find action taking place in each corner of the stage. So, if you're in the first three row,s you do get good views, but at the cost of being a bit too close to the stage to see the entire action.

For the best views of the stage towards the end of the Stalls, it's recommended to take seats in rows D to P. However, the seats located in the corners provide obstructed views of the musical and are not recommended. The seats at the ends of rows A to M are called "restricted seats" and are available at a lower cost.

Lyceum Theatre Royal Circle

Royal circle

  • 658 capacity
  • Row A-P

The Royal Circle is the second largest section in the Lyceum Theatre seating plan, located on an elevated level. The starting point is directly above Row R of the Stalls. The seating arrangement of this section is similar to that of the Stalls section.

The Royal Circle may not be situated directly in front of the stage, but it offers a comprehensive view of the entire stage, giving you a chance to see the full cast performing with their complete stage setup. For good views, the recommended seats are from 4 to 24 in Rows A to K. The views from the end seats of rows A to G and Row AA (a total of six seats) are also decent.

Lyceum Theatre Grand Circle

Grand circle

  • 582 capacity
  • Row A-M

The Grand Circle is the smallest section of the Lyceum theatre seating plan, with only thirteen rows. The views are mostly average from this section because the seats are located far from the stage. The Grand Circle section starts after Row C of the Royal Circle. The middle seats from Rows A to F provide the most decent views in this section.

Value for money seats

  • Stalls: Side and Box seats (movable chairs) and row R center offer extra legroom and often come at a lower price due to slight side-angle views.
  • Royal circle: Middle-back seats (Rows M–P, seats 4–24) remain comfortably raked and overhang-free, with reduced pricing under the Grand Circle.
  • Grand circle: Rows A–F in the centre give full, scenic stage views at low cost—great bang for your buck

Best views of the stage

  • Stalls: Centre block Rows E–Q (seats 9–37) hit the ideal sightline—close enough for detail without neck strain.
  • Royal circle: Front-centre seats (Rows A–F, seats 3–35) deliver panoramic views and crisp visuals of large-scale musicals.
  • Grand circle: Centre seats in Rows A–D offer the best elevated perspective from the highest tier—clear overall view with slight distance

Accessible seating in Lyceum theatre

  • There is a wheelchair-accessible entrance that leads to the Stalls section of the Lyceum Theatre seating plan.
  • Rows P and ZA in the Stalls section have seats that are accessible.
  • Lifts are available to access all levels of the theatre.
  • Except for the Stalls, all levels consist of multiple steps.
  • The Lion King often organises sign-interpreted performances in association with Theatre Sign.
  • Captioned and Signed Performances are regularly scheduled but have a limited amount of seats set aside for these performances.
  • The Lyceum theatre is equipped with the Mobile Connect system for all performances, which improves the experience for visually impaired or hard of hearing patrons.
