Attention all tributes! A West End adaption of the Hunger Games is on the horizon

London's West End is set to welcome the first-ever stage adaptation of Suzanne Collins' renowned novel, The Hunger Games, in the fall of 2024. Conor McPherson, an Olivier award-winning playwright, has crafted the book's theatrical debut under Matthew Dunster's direction. With Suzanne Collins herself collaborating with the creative team, audiences can anticipate an authentic portrayal of the story.

The team behind the stage adaptation

While the anticipation for The Hunger Games live stage adaptation builds, the casting details are yet to be unveiled. Set designer Miriam Buether, costume designer Moi Tran, choreographer Charlotte Broom, lighting designer Lucy Carter, sound designer Ian Dickinson, video designer Tal Rosner, illusionist Chris Fisher, fight director Kev McCurdy, performer flying supervisor John Maddox, casting director Amy Ball, and production manager Gary Beestone are all members of this outstanding creative team.

What is the Hunger Games about?

The Hunger Games introduces us to Katniss Everdeen, a teenager from District 12 who volunteers for the Hunger Games in place of her younger sister. What begins as a battle for survival in the Hunger Games arena swiftly becomes a war against the oppressive Capitol, with Katniss at the forefront.

Initially released in 2008, the dystopian novel's first film adaptation, starring Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, followed four years later.
