The Story

Agnes Hathaway, a natural healer, meets William Shakespeare, a Latin tutor, in Warwickshire around 1582. They get together to form a family and a life together after being drawn together by strong yet unknown instincts. Agnes remains at home to care for their three children while William travels to London to find his place in the theatre world; yet, she is his continuous companion and the driving force behind his existence.
