Based on A. A. Milne’s collection of stories, Winnie the Pooh is now on stage as a musical adaptation. The Sherman Brothers (Robert B. and Richard M. Sherman) will contribute music to the performance. Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book, The Aristocats, and Bedknobs and Broomsticks are just a few of the timeless films for which the Oscar- and Grammy-winning songwriting team is known for creating the music. The brothers composed the music for the first Winnie the Pooh featurettes that made up the 1977 movie The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Jonathan Rockefeller, a well-known producer of family entertainment, produced and performed Winnie the Pooh: The New Musical Adaptation in collaboration with Disney Theatrical Productions. Other kid-friendly puppet shows produced by his firm Rockefeller Productions include The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Paddington Gets in a Jam.

Riverside Studios is located on the site of a Victorian iron works that was transformed into a movie studio in 1933. It produced famous films like The Seventh Veil and Father Brown and shows like Hancock's Half Hour and Doctor Who. 1976 saw the structure transformed into an arts complex. An international mix of theatre, dance, visual art, television, comedy, and music was developed, successfully bringing the globe to West London.
