Magical Merlin, written and composed by Will Barnett of Perform Productions, invites families to a spellbound half‑term adventure at London’s Fortune Theatre. Set in enchanted Ancient Britain, it follows Merlin, Sir Lancelot, and Princess Guinevere in a race to stop Morgan Le Fay turning baby Arthur into a hamster—with fire‑breathing dragons, songs, and dances punctuating their quest. The show originally ran for one week in October 2022; such brief West End engagements make this revival notably rare and in demand. This mini-musical is set in Britain of yore when magic used to be freely practised by wizards and witches. Once upon a time, it was widely known that Magical Merlin was the greatest wizard of all time in ancient Britain. When Morgan Le Fay, the future King Arthur's older sister, learns of the child's birth, she becomes resentful and jealous of her baby brother. Now, Merlin must intervene to stop her as she uses her magic to turn people into animals. He joins forces with the lovely Princess Guinevere and the valiant Sir Lancelot. The group travels on a fire-breathing dragon to the Lady of the Lake to find out where genuine power originates from.
But will they be able to return to Tintagel Castle on time? Will they be able to stop Morgan before she transforms her younger brother Arthur into a hamster? To know what happens next, book your Magical Merlin musical tickets now!
