The Story

Park Theatre is the brainchild of Artistic Director Jez Bond and Creative Director Melli Marie, who managed to raise enough money to turn a concrete building into a thriving new theatre venue. Receiving backing from celebrated theatre figures such as Ian McKellen and Alan Rickman, the media, and most significantly locals in the vicinity; David Hughes Architects took on the project with an estimated budget of £2.6 million and subsequently opened in May 2013 to great reviews.
