Carol Ann Duffy, a renowned poet, brings her beautifully written original story to the Sadler’s Wells Theatre at Rosebury Ave. Co-produced by balletLorent and Northern Stage, this is one performance you don’t want to miss.
Immerse yourself in the captivating story of a young girl with magical powers, whose job is to protect all happy endings of fairy tales. What happens when a witch steals the happy endings? Can the little girl save them? Or will our favorite fairy tales end in sadness?
The Lost Happy Endings features an original score composed by Murray Gold, set design by Neil Murray, costumes by Nasir Mazhar, and narrated by the beloved Joanna Lumley.
An original story by Carol Ann Duffy spins a twist on the classic fairy tales we know and love. Deep in the forest lives a magical little girl with 6 fingers on each hand named Jub. Her job is to protect all the Happy Endings of fairy tales when one day an evil Witch steals them and destroys the stories at bedtime!
Cinderella’s foot is now too big to fit the glass slipper, Pinocchio’s nose doesn’t stop growing at all, and Little Red Riding Hood is eaten up by the Big Bad Wolf!
It’s now up to Jub to save the day and bring back all the Happy Endings.
The Lost Happy Endings is packed with mystery and wonder, perfect for everyone in the family.
