The Story

The King of Siam hires the widowed British teacher Anna in this East meets West tale as part of his efforts to modernize his nation, however, despite her connections to the students, Anna struggles with not only cultural differences but also a testy relationship with the obstinate king. Through her unrelenting efforts and capacity to establish a human connection, Anna fosters a sense of transparency and empathy between her and the king in an effort to incite change and comprehend each other.
