Showstopper! The Improvised Musical is a completely improvised show which takes cues from the audience. It premiered in 2008 and has quickly become one of the most famous plays in its genre. The show has toured extensively in the UK before becoming a staple of London’s West End, where it sells out every year.

This unique concept was conceived at an improv comedy workshop that the creators Adam Meggido and Dylan Emery attended in London. Storyline

The premise of this show is a musical writer on a deadline, that fortunately meets an imaginative audience! The writer needs your help. You get to throw your suggestions out for everything from setting, musical style, and even the title itself.

The Showstopper! cast and musical team then invent a brand new musical live in front of the audience, with rib-tickling characters, incredible dance numbers, and wacky storylines. One of the five theatres to open in London in 1930, the Cambridge Theatre is a popular West End house. The theatre is designed by Wimperis, Simpson, and Guthrie and occupies a triangular site on Seven Dials near Covent Garden. The Cambridge features interior design by Serge Chermayeff and Anthony Gibbons Grinling, who sculpted the friezes that are visible to date. The theatre boasts one of the most attractive interiors in the West End, having undergone restoration in 1987 after a series of internal changes.
