I'm Sorry, Prime Minister, I Can’t Quite Remember brings the Yes Minister legacy roaring back to life — this time on stage at London’s Apollo Theatre. Written by BAFTA-winner Jonathan Lynn — co-creator of the original Yes Minister and Yes, Prime Minister — this sharp new political satire marks the first continuation of the series without his late writing partner, Antony Jay. And it’s everything fans hoped it would be—clever, cutting, and devastatingly British.
Now, decades later, Lynn gives us the “final chapter,” starring Griff Rhys Jones as Jim Hacker and Clive Francis as Sir Humphrey Appleby. Whether you're a civil servant, love British stiff upper lip comedy, or just enjoy a good political roast, this is your front-row seat to the bureaucratic buffoonery of Britain’s elite.
Years have passed since the Yes Minister franchise first introduced us to bumbling politician Jim Hacker and his scheming, smooth-talking civil servant, Sir Humphrey Appleby. Now in their twilight years, Hacker lives as the Master of Oxford’s fictional Hacker College, enjoying a cushy retirement... until the College threatens to evict him over "inappropriate" remarks at a dinner party. Faced with losing his “lifetime” post and college-provided lodgings, Lord Hacker does what he does best: calls in the cavalry—a slightly creakier Sir Humphrey. Book your tickets for a curtain call to their bureaucratic shenanigans!

Humphrey and Hacket ( the PM please forgive me Sir) were brilliantly casted and acted down to the last detail, with the perfect mixture of disdain, arrogance and yet hidden affection for each other. All done with the same intellectual comedy and under currents as the TV series decades ago, but with a reflective criticism to the recent past depicting the effects, not only of Brexit but the massive changes in Society and political correctness in Britain / but "en Passant" and again in an intelectually humorlos fahion without lecturing the ausdünne, but very skillfully amusing the audience - with a certain droht an nostalgia. Such a brilliant performance - down to the last physical, Intonational and vocal and expressive Detail. I had the priviledge of sittig in the Stalls 2. row and marvelled not only at the energy and indirect fun made of the architypal civil servant but the Detail of each mimick, Intonation and control (or acted fading control) of the two elderly men reflecting on their past with self appreciation - and Humphrey taking all credit for himself and arrgantly looking dow upon the PM with wonderful (usual) Seide and perfectly timed and executed witty remarks. All credit to the brilliant acting and Script. In my opinion it even tops the TV series, due to the superb acting and that is the highest and in This case just accolade to the actors.
Wonderful performances by all the cast. Had the audience laughing while making us think as well.
Excellent, fantastic opportunity to see the characters brought back to life for one finale
Boring show. Misdescribed as a Comedy. Not. Disappointed very much with production & reviews. Staff were very good and helped to and from my seat.
Excellent show, with great performances from all of the cast. The dialogue was extremely cleverly written - thoroughly enjoyable.
