Storyline

Phantom of the Opera musical follows Christine Daaé, a gifted young soprano who captures the attention of a mysterious, disfigured genius known only as the “Opera Ghost.” Living in the shadows beneath the Paris Opera House, the Phantom secretly guides Christine’s voice to brilliance, but when her childhood love Raoul reenters her life, obsession turns to jealousy. The magnificent venue and the grandeur surrounding a show that is both spectacular and punctuated by more subdued moments make this musical a must-see. The sets unfold one after another, each as spectacular as the last. As for the actors, who masterfully navigate the shift between soaring moments and those delivered in a whisper, their performances are top-notch. A masterpiece not to be missed. For my part, I made the trip from Toulouse just to see TPOTO and head back the next day—and I don’t regret the trip one bit.
