Dreaming beyond his quiet town, restless maverick Geppetto carves a wooden puppet named Pinocchio. Together, they embark on adventures with weird and wonderful characters, learning about love, freedom, and community. With book and lyrics by Charlie Josephine (I, Joan; Cowbois) and music by Jim Fortune (Mr Gum and the Dancing Bear, Hex), directed by Sean Holmes, this new musical combines puppetry, inventive staging, and heartwarming storytelling.
Geppetto’s latest creation isn’t your average puppet; he’s a wooden boy with big dreams and an even bigger nose for trouble! Pinocchio tumbles out of the workshop and into a world full of sly foxes, playful mischief, and lessons he never expected to learn. As he tries to figure out what it really means to be “real,” every step brings laughs, surprises, and a few “uh-oh” moments.
Show timings for Pinocchio may vary every week. You can check the show timings for your preferred date at the next stage of booking.
The Shakespeare's Globe Theatre sits on London’s South Bank as a faithful recreation of the 1599 playhouse where Shakespeare premiered many of his plays. Carved from timber and featuring an open-air yard with tiered galleries, the theatre captures the energy of Elizabethan performances. Over the years, it has hosted modern productions of classics like Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, and The Merry Wives of Windsor, as well as experimental adaptations, concerts, and family-friendly shows.

The atmosphere was truly delightful. The use of puppetry detailed and very smart in its cherography . The puppeteers bringing the puppets to life from Pinocchio himself to even the smallest characters like fish, it was a most mesmerising first visit to the Globe!
The talent of the performers made the experience magical. The crowd interaction had my kids smiling from ear to ear as they were memorised by dancing, singing and simple cleverness of the props.
The play was fantastic, I highly recommend it. The theatre is open so it was very cold, but the play and actors are brilliant
