Habeas Corpus, penned by talented playwright Alan Bennett, is set to play at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London in 2022. Storyline
A British comedy, Habeas Corpus revolves around the family members of the Wickstead household in 1960s Hove. From the outside, their house seems perfect but the trouble is always brewing on the inside. The house is a mess with mixed identities and hedonistic pursuits.
Mr. Wickstead, the head of the house, lives with his wife Muriel but he is not to be trusted as a monogamous husband, especially with his spinster friend Connie playing hard for his affections. Watch this incredibly funny farcical play to see whether the members can curb their sexual desires or if they will give in to it and end up making bad decisions.
