The Story

The emotionally touching ghost-filled ballet tells the tragic, romantic story of a beautiful young peasant girl named Giselle who falls in love with a nobleman named Albrecht. The London Coliseum Theatre, also known as the Coliseum Theatre, is a West End theatre on St Martin's Lane. The theatre dates back to December 24, 1904, when it opened as the London Coliseum Theatre of Varieties designed by architect Frank Matcham. It was designed for Sir Oswald Stoll. The theatre served as a canteen for Air Raid Patrol workers during the Second World War. It underwent a complete restoration in the year 2000.
