Who doesn’t know the story of the enamoring Belle from Beauty and the Beast? If you didn’t, now’s your chance to brush up on Disney fairy tale basics as Beauty and the Beast is coming to London Theatre, live on stage.
Beauty and the Beast has enchanted people all over the world since the release of the Golden Globe award-winning animated film in 1991. Now, the musical is back to enchant theatre audiences in London. The musical production has been choreographed and directed by Matt West, with Shaq Taylor as Beast and Courtney Stapleton as his Beauty.
Belle, a bright, young, and lovely girl, resides in a tiny village with her father Maurice but has never quite fit in. When her father insults the mysterious owner of a magical castle, Belle nobly consents to be the Beast's captive in exchange for her father's release. She finds herself becoming friends with the castle's odd residents and surprisingly forms a relationship with the Beast, who, she soon realizes, is not all that he seems under his vicious demeanor.
Can true love conquer the obstacles of fate, a curse, and the pompously arrogant Gaston who has unrequited feelings for Belle? Will the Beast finally have a happy ending with his Beauty? Grab Beauty and the Beast tickets now and be a guest to one of the most enchanting fairy tales of all time.
