The Story

A Little Life follows the life of Jude St. Francis, a renowned lawyer, who had suffered from child abuse. He is friends with Willem, an aspiring actor, JB, a struggling artist and Malcolm, a prosperous architect, all of whom Jude met while in college in New York City. The group is bound together by their affection for Jude and the unanswered questions about his background, but challenges like addiction, ambition, and pride pose a threat to their friendship. The Harold Pinter Theatre, formerly known as the Comedy Theatre, is a West End theatre that first opened as the Royal Comedy Theatre on Panton Street in the City of Westminster on 15 October 1881. It was conceived by Thomas Verity and constructed of painted (stucco) stone and brick in just six months. It was popularly known as the Comedy Theatre by 1884. The name was changed to the Harold Pinter Theatre back in 2011 in honor of Pinter’s work for the Comedy Theatre.
