About Theatre
The Peacock Theatre, originally known as The Royalty Theatre, is a West End theatre in the City of Westminster. It is situated on Portugal Street. After MGM took over the location in 1961, it was constructed in 1960 and put to use as a movie theatre. In 1969, it ceased operation as a movie theatre and reopened as a venue for live theatre.
It currently belongs to the London School of Economics and has 999 seats. They gave it the new name Peacock Theatre. This location hosts dance performances, conferences, ballet, pop concerts, and award ceremonies.
