Gillian Lynne was an exceptional ballerina dancer, choreographer, actress and television director. Lynne’s crowning achievement was choreographing Phantom of the Opera, and the production of Cats. Her other accolades include choreographing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the Imaginary Invalid, and Dear World, to name a few. Due to her stellar achievements, Lynne was the first non-royal woman to have a West End theatre named after her. She also received the Silver Order of Merit, Golden Rose of Montreux Award, BAFTA, Molière and Olivier Awards. Sadly, Lynne passed away in 2018 to pneumonia at the age of 92. However, her legacy lives on through the production company she founded that continues to produce film and stage productions.
