  • Soho theatre has a flexible seating capacity of around 140 to 400 seats, depending on the performance space (main theatre, upstairs, or downstairs).
  • The main theatre is the largest, featuring tiered seating that ensures clear sightlines from most seats.
  • The best views are in the centre rows of the main theatre stalls, usually rows C–F, where you’re close enough to catch expressions but far enough for a full stage view.
  • For value, side seats and back rows still provide good sightlines thanks to the intimate layout, and are often priced lower.
  • Upstairs and downstairs spaces are smaller and more intimate, so even seats further back feel close to the action.

  • Soho Downstairs is the largest venue, set up with tables and chairs in a cabaret layout. It offers a relaxed, informal experience, with central tables closest to the stage being the most sought after.

Value for money seats

  • Main house: Side seats in Rows E–F are more affordable yet still provide a full view thanks to the compact size of the theatre.
  • Soho upstairs: Any seat here feels good value given the intimacy, but side seats or back rows are cheaper while still maintaining strong sightlines.
  • Soho downstairs: Tables slightly further back in the middle rows offer a good balance of price and visibility, with a clearer overall perspective of the stage.

Best views of the stage

  • Main house: Rows B–D in the centre offer the sharpest views and a strong connection with performers. The rake ensures expressions and movements are clear without feeling too close.
  • Soho upstairs: Front-centre rows provide an intimate experience, but since it’s a steep studio, even middle seats feel close and immersive.
