Why Watch The Dead City ?

  • The Dead City (Die tote Stadt) is based on the novella of Belgian poet Georges Rodenbach. It was one of the 1920s most popular plays, and it has seldom been produced since World War II.

  • The Dead City opera vividly points out the theme of death, past & present, loss, grief, life, and everything in between. With a twist of ghostly visions and human imagination, the show creates the perfect illusion between what’s real and what’s not.
