We booked last minute as our plans changed , making time for one more show.
Not knowing too much about the storyline we headed for the Playhouse to find it had been completely transformed into the Kit Kat club, entering through the side door down a dark dimly lit winding corridor to be offered a schnapps shot by one of the pre show cast . The pre show itself is well worth getting there early for with dancers on the bar and musicians creating a risqué vibe .
Once seated in the first row of the dress circle we had a fantastic view of the whole stage and could order drinks from our seat . The show itself was a huge emotional rollercoaster, the set and costumes true to the period and what a performance from the cast !! Absolutely astonishing! The music was also lovely and dark and unsettling at times
Easily the best show we've experienced .

Playhouse Theatre, der til denne forestilling er blevet genfortolket som Kit Kat Club, ligger på Northumberland Avenue i Londons West End. Det åbnede i 1882 som Royal Avenue Theatre og var vært for komiske operaer, farcer og tidlige værker af George Bernard Shaw (hans debut Arms and the Man spillede her i 1894). I løbet af årtierne har den sat store genopsætninger og nye stykker op, bl.a. med Royal Shakespeare Company og produktioner som An Inspector Calls i 2001. Til den aktuelle opsætning af Cabaret er stedet blevet omdannet til en natklub i Weimar-tiden, der er bygget til fordybelse snarere end traditionel proscenium-visning.

We were not aloud to take photos Unfortunately because I would have loved to. It was super cool and swanky. The dancers pre show were amazing We've seen six shows and this one was amazing. The whole experience was top notch. Set actors dancing makeup just every single thing my 15 yr old daughter and I had a wonderful time. One part was a bit racy but she was completely mature about the subject and it made for a great discussion. Thank u all for giving my daughter and I quality time together with a great subject to connect and go deep with we will never forget this time together !!!!!!!!5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😎😎

It was like walking into a Weimar era cabaret, dark and smoky, drinking schnapps as we move into the main bar. There the senses we're overwhelmed with dancers and musicians moving seductively around the bar, for a pre show experience-mesmerizing. Libations being shaken, stirred and poured, enhanced the scene. Moments later we were seated and a show like no other gripped and shook our senses. Wow, such raw, sensual talent sharing a tragic, touching story. This was a triumph for the cast and crew. Amazing!

as you entered through a maze of underground tunnels as if you were entering a seedy nightclub so atmospheric and which lead into a lobby where the cast dancers were performing to a very up beat tempo, where did they get the enegy from, amazing. the Caberet show is a tour deforce with a cast that put everything into the story and the songs we highly recommend this.

The whole experience wat amazing. We came from Holland and you English people are so good in this typ of performing! For us it was the second time we saw Cabaret. This viewing was different then 2 years ago but again unforgettable. Thanks for making this the highlite or our trip. Grtz. from Holland.
