Travelling all the way from Australia to see Les Misérables made the night even more memorable. As my first West End theatre experience, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was hooked from the opening scene. The seamless stage changes, live orchestra, and the energy from the entire cast—not just the lead performers, but also the ensemble and swings—made the show feel incredibly alive. You could see the passion and professionalism in every scene. It was one of those performances that stays with you long after the curtain came down, and definitely a highlight of our trip to London.
This was my first time seeing Les Mis. By far this is the best show I've ever seen. The theater was beautiful and felt close and intimate. The leads all had excellent voice control and it was absolutely mesmerizing! Jean valjean (played by Ian Mcintosh) was convincing as both a young and old man. He had a strong bass voice and the softest tenor range which only adds to his "monologues", especially in the second half. The story is also incredible - one worth seeing and telling. If you're ever in the West End, Les Mis all the way!!!
This is an amazing production in a charming venue! The cast gave a stunning performance and the staging and scenery are better than any performance of Les Mis I've seen (including Broadway). The staff was friendly and helpful down to a person! One note on seating: we were in the Stalls (row L), and the chart gave a warning that the braised was obstructed by the floor above. In fact, it was fine. Anything back to about row R should have no problem seeing everything.
Absolutely the best musical ever! a must see show! I would go again tomorrow! Top performers, great singers and actors. Fantastic orchestra! Friendly staff who helped one to find the right place
