This is the first musical I have ever gone to a theatre in London. For me the Matilda Musical was astonishing. The Concept was so pure and the production of the theatre is amazing. The children's acting was so realistic. The actor who played Miss Trunchbull was so funny. I recommend this musical to everyone.
This show was wonderful! It was funny, sweet, heartwarming, and inspiring. I usually am not the biggest musical fan, but I loved Matilda! The cast, music, and staging made it one of my favorite live performances I've seen.
The acting throughout the whole show was fabulous. The stage and props were amazing. A lovely theatre and great atmosphere. The staff were very helpful
This is always my dream to watch Matilda since I was little. Having a chance to come to London, it is a MUST to watch Matilda!!! From the very first moment, I felt pure excitement sitting in Stalls S20. The seat was perfect, which I found out that actors walked right past me, and I could see every smile, every fierce look, and every little gesture up close. It made me feel like I was part of the story, not just watching it! Even the scary Miss Trunchbull was thrilling, when she stormed out right next to me, I screamed inside, but I also laughed because it was so dramatic and fun (e.g. she said she doesn't like kids!)! The whole show was a wild ride, like one minute I was giggling, the next I was gasping in surprise, and then my heart melted with tenderness. The most jaw-dropping moment was when Trunchbull swung a little girl by her pigtails, and then the lights went out, and suddenly the girl was flying in the air and straight down that catches by the boys down there ! I was stunned because it was pure magic! But the part that truly filled my heart with happy tears was the song "When I Grow Up." I sang that song as a child in my choir and drama class, and now, sitting there watching the children swing and sing with such hope, I realised: I am finally the grown-up I once dreamed of being. Instead of feeling sad, I felt so proud and grateful for every step of my journey, it made me smile and cry at the same time, in the best way possible. And the ending? Oh, it was beautiful! Matilda and Miss Honey were so brave and kind to each other. Their love and courage shone like sunshine. When they finally found their happy family, tears of joy rolled down my cheeks. This musical wasn't just entertaining, it was a big warm hug for my soul!!! It reminded me that life is full of wonder, that even small people can do big things, and that growing up is something to celebrate. I left the theatre with a huge smile on my face and a heart so full of happiness. If you ever get the chance, go see it please!!! I promise it will make you laugh, cry, and believe in love and courage all over again!
