Here’s what we think: Review by Headout

The scandalously funny and cleverly satirical musical, The Book of Mormon, will probably catch you off guard with its brand of humour, but deeper within you’ll find layers and layers of important social commentary that has rarely been seen on stage recently. Playing at London's Prince of Wales Theatre, and created by the talented duo of Trey Parker and Matt Stone, along with Robert Lopez, this award-winning production is as entertaining as it is thought-provoking. The sharp wit, the catchy tunes, the brilliant cast and the deft storytelling make for an unforgettable experience on stage and you have to watch it to believe it. No matter from which angle you want to see it, this is for sure: The Book of Mormon is no joke.

“‘The Book of Mormon’ is, above all, very funny, breathing three-dimensional, all-singing, all-dancing life into the absurdities of literal Mormon dogma without ever being particularly mean. It’s the mildest thing Parker and Stone have done, atheist in outlook but conciliatory towards anyone whose beliefs make them happy."

“It will be fascinating to read the range of responses to Mormon – my hunch is they will fall squarely into the love or hate camps (the latter largely influenced by the strength of the religious satire). But for me and my generation, reared on South Park and Team America, there is little here to genuinely shock, and laughs by the bucketload.

If anything, by warm-heartedly embracing the medium of musical theatre, Parker and Stone have revealed a maturity and sensitivity lacking from their screen work. And I for one am delighted to welcome them to the fold.”

“...this wild, thrilling, go-for-broke, genuinely hilarious musical comedy remains one of the funniest shows in the West End.”

I had a wonderful experience without any issues. I was truly moved. The ticket booking process was easy to understand, even for Japanese visitors, and I was able to book my tickets with ease. Since internet connectivity can be spotty near the venue depending on the network conditions, I took a screenshot of my booking details beforehand before heading there. There was a scene in *The Lion King* where the performers emerged from the back of the venue, and I was completely drawn into the world of *The Lion King*.

Amazing show all around. Performers, set, costumes, lighting and music were all fabulous. Shame the venue seating was too cramped for tall people.

Hamilton

Experience

An unforgettable experience from start to finish. The performances, music, stage design, and energy throughout the show were all absolutely outstanding. Coming from Paris, this was my very first English musical, and Hamilton completely exceeded my expectations. My girlfriend and I were originally seated in the front row, but the view wasn’t ideal (1st photo), so we decided to pay extra to move to better seats and fully enjoy the show and honestly (2nd photo), it was 100% worth it. If you’re planning a trip to London, this is a show you absolutely have to see.

Seeing The Book of Mormon was hands-down one of the funniest theatre experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, it’s outrageously bold, brilliantly written, and packed with laugh-out-loud moments that don’t let up. The music is insanely catchy (you’ll be humming it all the way home), and the cast delivers pure energy, charm, and comedic perfection. What really makes it stand out is how it balances shock humor with surprising heart—it’s clever, cheeky, and unexpectedly uplifting. Whether you’re a theatre lover or just looking for a night of unforgettable entertainment, this show absolutely delivers.

It was the most beautiful performance I have yet seen! I really loved how they restaged this masterpiece of Shakespeare. Each actor brings really something very individual to this piece which makes it even more unique and easy to connect to the story. This performance was deeply inspiring, congratulations on this amazing work!

Disney's Hercules

Experience

We wanted to catch a show while on our honeymoon in London and decided on Hercules due to its location in proximity to our hotel. The theater was absolutely stunning, and the staff was helpful and kind. Our seats were obstructed slightly by the balcony overhead, but it only affected the top portion of the screen. Luckily, the screen wasn't used much during the performance and we had a perfect view of all the cast on stage. The show itself was great and quite funny — the audience laughed and clapped along which made it an even more enjoyable experience. Loved this charming, quaint theater and would definitely come back for another show here!
